Morgan Township brought its infield in, looking to stop Boone Grove from scoring a run in the sixth inning Monday.
Wolves senior Chuck Kidd had a plan for the situation.
“Our coaches all year preach just put the ball in play,” Kidd said. “I was ahead in the count and wanted to pick the pitch I wanted to hit and put it in play for them to do something with it, whether they get me out or not.”
