Andrean coach Dave Pishkur was skeptical when his assistant, Pat Antone, committed to winning a state title after he left the 59ers for Boone Grove.
Antone worked for Pishkur for four years in two different stints. He departed after the 2017 season.
It seemed crazy.
“In the back of my mind, I was thinking, ‘I don’t know if I’d go out on a limb and talk about that,’” Pishkur said. “You just don’t know what you have.”
He was born to coach.
He knew he wanted to be on a baseball bench when he was a senior in high school.
