Boone Grove earns second straight regional title with win over Argos

As Fort Wayne Canterbury celebrated its victory over the Boone Grove boys soccer team in last year’s Class 1A semistate, the former Wolves keeper told his teammates that could be them this year.
“I told the guys to soak it in and look at their celebration, because that’ll fuel them,” Kidd said after last year’s loss. “We lost sophomore year (2015) in regionals and last year (2016) in sectionals and we used those offseasons to work our butts off. Next year’s team will look a little different, but I think they’ll be able to do big things and I know I’ll be rooting for them.”
The Wolves, who are ranked No. 5 in the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Class 1A poll, beat No. 18 Argos 3-2 in the Argos Regional final Saturday, setting up a rematch with Canterbury in semistate at either Kokomo or South Bend St. Joseph on Oct. 20…
