The wind whipped and freezing rain pelted Saturday’s Class A Kokomo Semistate as Boone Grove’s Dylan Castellanos exited the field.
The senior midfielder understandably struggled with his emotions after the Wolves dropped a 3-1 overtime decision to Fort Wayne Canterbury.
“It hurts — that’s the worst kind of hurt,” Castellanos said. “We left it all out there, though, and we have to be proud of that. Everyone did what they could.
“I enjoyed all four years of playing with these guys — I love them all. But it hurts.”
